đ We invite curious developers, web3 degens and generalists to explore ideas and build exciting products. Please do not feel restricted by this list when considering what you can build on Kleros or what projects we fund. Rather, use it as a source of ideas and inspiration.

đ±Â Social & Identity
- Social media platform with credibly neutral content moderation
- The platform must first have a clearly defined terms of use policy (can be voted on through governance)
- Any user can challenge posts through the Reality.eth oracle with Kleros as an arbitrator
- In case of escalation to arbitration, jurors will vote based on the platform policy
- Reputation tracker linked to Proof of Humanity
- Users must first have an address registered in PoH
- Itâs up to you to decide which metrics to use for calculating reputation. This can be voting activity, github metrics, 3rd party credential sources (i.e. The Badge, Proof of Talent), trading volume on DeFi apps, etc
đ°Â Decentralised Finance
- Credit scoring protocol
- Link a DeFi credit score to user addresses registered in PoH.
- Build the protocol to be composable so other DeFi projects can be built around the credit scores provided.
- Kleros flavoured web3 wallet
- Create a wallet that safeguards users through the existing Address Tag Registry and Contract-Domain Name registry
- Integrate NFTProtect or build a similar implementation that uses Kleros for social recovery
- Let users engage in escrowed swaps with other users from within the wallet
- Curate-based insurance protocol
- Create a curated registry with a policy that defines eligible insurance claims. Users should be able to submit their claims to the registry and have the payout be automatically enforced if the user passes the optimistic challenge period
- Yield automation for prediction markets
- Providing liquidity to prediction markets cannot be done passively (need to assess interesting markets, withdraw funds before the result is known to avoid a huge impermanent loss). This yield automator would take user deposits and use them for liquidity in prediction markets. Strategies could include automatic rebalancing of positions depending on market yield/trading, removal of liquidity at a specific date or upon a specific admin trigger
- This wouldnât interact directly with Kleros but with prediction markets using Kleros as an oracle
đ Metaverse
- Player-made asset marketplace
- Replicate something like the Steam store by having a policy for player-made assets to be listed for sale
- Users can list their created assets according to some TCR policy. The policy should ideally be comprehensive, describing what sort of shaders and textures are valid for items listed on the marketplace
- Partner with games and metaverse experiences to drive utility and demand for these items
- Unity SDK with Kleros products out of the box
- A tool for game developers to implement solutions such as in-game escrow payments, dispute creation functions
- A new standard for virtual land
- Find a way to extend existing standards/frameworks for transacting virtual land with Kleros-specific features included such as configuration for rental agreements, subscribing to an arbitrator, etc
- A framework for enforceable virtual world justice systems
- A backend justice system that can be plugged into any interface whether that be web, VR, or AR experience
- An implementation of Klerosâ ârecognition of jurisdictionâ integration which defines how rulings made my the jury are enforced. For example, Bob is charged with theft after stealing Alicesâ in-world car. Alice makes a case on Kleros court and if found guilty, Bob loses reputation points, credit score, virtual property, or any other element defined in the worldâs code of conduct
- This can be thought of as a variation of content moderation, where users of the virtual world agree to a code of conduct, thus giving the DAO/world owners the right to restrict access or seize virtual assets of the offending parties
đ Research Driven Development topics
Each batch of the Kleros Fellowship has produced deep academic research into potential use cases for Kleros. We encourage bootcamp builders to try their hands at turning these theoretical concepts into live products.
Here are some of the most interesting topics covered by the Fellowship:
